If you have ever watched Ghost Hunters you know EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena.... voices and other sounds we cannot hear with our own ears that are recorded with either a micro cassette recorder or a digital recorder.

During an investigation, place the recorder on a flat surface away from anything that might make noise or cause vibration such as any kind of appliance like a TV, radio or heat/air unit. You can also hold the recorder in your hand, but be careful not to move too much since it will pick the sound up. Check the area before you start for anything that makes any kind of noise so you can identify those sounds later.



You need some kind of software program for editing your recordings. There are many out there but there are two free ones that work just fine.

Either one of these will work just fine. If you want to share your EVP's you need a host for them. I use this one..
