We arrived around 11:15 PM. The air was very still and humid. Jenifer set out to do a preliminary sweep with her digital camera, as Joey and I were gathering the last of the lights and recorders. She had a fully charged battery in all her equipment yet her camera stopped suddenly after just a couple of pictures. When she looked at the screen the picture number was at 666. We didn't think that much of it at the time. After checking the camera it began working again so we started an EVP session with Jenifer asking all questions. Again the camera gave her trouble, stopping on 666 once again.

We began EVP work again. Hearing nothing out of the ordinary, we continued. Towards the end of one of the sessions Joey and Jenifer heard laughing. I did not hear this due to my having been sick and ears being stopped up. They were so sure they heard this they thought someone had possibly snuck up on us and was just playing around. We searched the cemetery and road finding no one. No one could have gotten out of our sight line if they had been there because of the way the place is situated. Other than dogs barking in the distance, nothing else was heard. There was one spot next to what appeared to be a very weathered marker where I kept getting dizzy, and another next to the stone wall that had a noticable cold spot which we all felt.

Finally Jenifer's camera gave out..at 666..again. It would not work after that. At 12:40 we stopped and finally left the cemetery.

After reviewing the EVP recordings, there are several clips that we found interesting. Nothing has been found in the digital photos , and the 35mm has yet to be reviewed.

Findings...

Can we say for sure Shinville Cemetery is haunted? No, but we can say there seems to be some paranormal activity happening there.
